Luxurious Family Bathroom
Forest Hill, London

This project took place in a large period property in Forest Hill, where the main family bathroom needed to deliver both style and practicality. Our clients wanted a space that balanced bold design choices with the everyday functionality required for family life. The goal was to create a room that could feel like a private retreat for the parents while remaining practical and inviting for the children.

The centrepiece is a large walk-in shower, fully tiled in deep Capietra dark blue tiles. These rich tones extend across the shower’s tiled bench, creating a sense of depth and drama, while also offering a practical resting spot. Beside the shower, a luxurious stone resin bath from Lusso Stone provides a serene place to relax, perfectly complemented by brushed gold fixtures and fittings that introduce warmth and refinement to the overall scheme.

The Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue paint, carried across both walls and ceiling, creates a dramatic envelope that enhances the room’s intimacy. This is offset beautifully by the vibrant terrazzo flooring, which adds a playful, modern energy to the space. The floor’s pattern and colour lift the darker tones, creating a perfectly balanced composition.

Every detail was designed with the family’s needs in mind. Built-in niches keep shower products neatly stored, while custom lighting circuits and a wireless speaker system set the mood—whether it’s bathtime for the children or a quiet evening soak. Underfloor heating ensures the terrazzo floor feels warm underfoot all year round, combining comfort with practicality.

This Forest Hill bathroom renovation is a perfect example of how Dulwich Bathrooms brings together bold aesthetics, practical solutions, and high-quality craftsmanship. The result is a distinctive and functional space that will serve this family beautifully for years to come.
