Bold and Elegant Master Ensuite

In this West Norwood period home, the existing master ensuite was neutral, uninspiring, and failing to make the most of the available space. Our brief was to create a modern sanctuary — one that combined bold, design-led choices with the practical upgrades needed for daily comfort.

One of the most transformative changes came from removing a step that cut through the middle of the ensuite. This reconfiguration maximised the layout, opening the room to accommodate a larger walk-in shower with a sleek black-framed enclosure. Inside, brushed gold fixtures offer a refined counterpoint to the bold structural lines, striking the perfect balance between elegance and contrast.

The walls feature gloss teal tiles, bringing vibrancy and depth to the space, while the geometric patterned floor tiles introduce dynamic visual energy. A wall-hung walnut vanity provides generous storage and warmth, complemented by custom shelving from Traditional Beams above the toilet for an added layer of craftsmanship and practicality.

A built-in shower niche keeps essentials within easy reach, while underfloor heating ensures the room feels warm and inviting year-round. The overall result is a fresh take on Victorian elegance — a space that feels at once striking, functional, and perfectly tailored to its owners.
